         <title>The people of Sunderland Road</title>
         <description>Hello everyone!

I have added a new album to the image gallery. It is called &quot; The People of Sunderland Road&quot;.

I am starting to receive messages and photos from local people, the photos were taken many years ago so I will put them in this album for everyone to see.

If you look at the entry below it is called &quot;Eurpoean Neighbours Day - The People of Sunderland Road&quot; the stories that i receive I will be put in here. Have a look at the pictures and the stories and tell me what you think!

If you would like to get your story, or that of your parents, friends, relatives, grandparents then write them down and email them to me!

If you have any more stories or photos that you would like me to add you can email them to me as an attachment directly to stephenward@gateshead.gov.uk or even pop into Sunderland Road Library with your photographs and the staff will help you!

<description>European Neighbours Day will be coming to Sunderland Road Library on Wednesday July 2nd.

Six children from Bede and St. Wilfrid&apos;s Schools are presenting the e-strata project to residents from Sunderland Road and explaining why they chose the names for the new Bishop&apos;s Park development.

<description>Did anyone see Wednesdays Evening Chronicle Newspaper?

I think there may have been a story and a photograph that you might just recognise!

Can anyone tell me what the story might be and who was in it?

Who can tell me who is in the newspaper?

If you were in the newspaper article, what is it like to be in the newspaper!

         <title>A Message From Councillor Armstrong</title>
<description>Hello everyone. I&apos;ve just been checking out the list for the final street name. I can&apos;t believe how hard everyone has worked and all the research that you have put into this. It&apos;s going to be really difficult to choose the last name because they are all so good. Well done to all of you.

So after careful consideration we have put forward the following names to be considered by the Council, they are:

1. Claxton Avenue/Street/Road
2. New Avenue
3. Writers Way
4. Adler Street

6. Goldrise Avenue

What do you think of these names?

Which one would you like to see chosen!

         <title>Street Name Number 8</title>
         <description>Hello Everyone!

There is still time to send in your ideas for names for the eighth and final street!

In the last week we have had over 100 suggestions! We will hopefully go through all the ideas and suggestions from the last few weeks after Easter. If you have any ideas send them in and I will add them to the list!

If you can&apos;t think of any further ideas then why not have a look at the ideas and suggestions that other children have put on the site and let us know which ideas you like best! Or if there are any ideas that your mam, dad, brothers, sisters, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, pets and neighbours would like us to consider then send them through to us as well!

Have a great Easter... keep some Easter eggs for me!!!

         <title>Street Names 1 to 7</title>
<description>Hello everyone! If you remember there are eight streets to name, over the last few weeks we have discussed the names with many people here in the Council and we have had agreement for the following names:

Street 1 - Fleetwood Way
Street 2 - Bede Gardens
Street 3 - Bishops Park Road
Street 4 - Wilfrid Gardens
Street 5 - Woodward Avenue
Street 6 - Walcher Grove
Street 7 - Churchill Road (Which was once Emily Street)

Therefore we need to create one more street name, (the Street previously known as Hylton Street) get looking at the maps and on the internet and come up with more excellent ideas!

I will be at Bede School on Tuesday morning and St Wilfrids on Friday afternoon to help come up with final names!!! Keep working hard you are doing some amazing work! So what do you think of the names chosen? Let us know what you think and help us come up with the final street name!

See you soon

You are really doing an excellent job. Thank you to you and your teachers for the time and effort you are putting in to this very important job.

Try to add reasons to your choices, and remember these names will be around for a long time in the future so all need to be special.

I have added a few links that you might want to look at for more research :

<title>A message from Stephanie at McInerney Homes</title>
         <description>Message Number One!

Hi Guys

You are coming up with some really great ideas - I find it very heplful when you add the reasons why you have picked your names too, as they will be around for a long, long time so it is a very important task you have.

We do have to be careful though as to what the names might suggest - for example Tyne is a good local idea but Tyne View might make someone think they could see it from their house, but I dont think they can.

It just so happens that its the Angel of the Norths 10th anniversary this year so Angel or North is a very clever idea Connor.

I also think Churchill Road and Emily Courtyard are perfect - well done Katie

Message Number Two!

Hi Guys

These are some really good thoughts - try and add reasons of why you have chosen them.

Primary Hill is a good one Garry - as it leads on for your schools, I like the thought process there.

Keep up the good work
